For the past several months I have been researching and putting lots of energy into the business possibilities of the internet. I must say, my UCLA education really prepared me for handling the amount of work it takes to go into this. On the surface, the internet seems obvious and direct to an end-user (i.e., a consumer or regular web surfer). However, in reality, to design these pages so they are simple for the end-user, a lot of thought and energy must go in.

But, with everything else, there are sleaze balls online who use and abuse working methods of advertisement, advertising, and general marketing. That is another topic of itself.

Here is an example of my own Drupal blog My Drupal Adventures which is a real simple, fun blog I made in a rather complex blogging/community environment that took awhile to learn. But, now that I know about it, I wanted to log and journal my experiences.

Here are examples of solid ecommerce web pages. These are legitimate business that a person can use to support their family and put their kids through school... There are billions of dollars online, it is a real way to make a living if you can understand this new world. Again, I am really happy UCLA prepared me for handling the amount of work needed.

As an update, I just started working for an internet start up called BestCovery which is a site designed to help consumers find the best product in any catagory. Check it out! I am doing backend work mostly, but since the company is so small I do work with the marketing team and throw ideas around.
